Since acquiring the City of Falls Church water system in January 2014, Fairfax Water has been implementing measures to integrate the City’s facilities into Fairfax Water's existing water transmission and distribution system. The Seven Corners area, located on high ground and near the outer edges of the two historic water systems, experiences delivery pressures lower than those typically experienced elsewhere in Fairfax Water’s system and has been identified as a priority for system improvement.
The Sleepy Hollow Road Transmission min is the first of several upgrades needed to improve pressure, fire flow and resiliency in the Seven Corners area and connect to the planned Sleepy Hollow Pump Station.
