The 36-inch Prince William County Transmission Main Phase II project includes the construction of new transmission infrastructure to improve capacity and reliability of service to Prince William County Service Authority and Virginia American Water. Approximately 1,700 feet of 36-inch water main and an interconnection to a parallel 48-inch water main will be installed just south of the Griffith Water Treatment Plant in Lorton, Virginia. Construction of the project will begin in July 2021 and will last for approximately seven months.

Construction activities for July and August 2021:
- Survey and stake-out of proposed water main layout
- Test pitting to locate and verify features of existing underground utilities
- Installing temporary erosion and sedimentation controls
