Water Supply Stakeholder Outreach Program

2009 Grant Awardees.

Grants are available to qualified organizations
that undertake water supply education or watershed protection projects.
Grants may be in the form of funds, technical support, or equipment.
The project must address issues within areas served by Fairfax Water or watershed lying in Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, or
Fauquier Counties.
Eligible education projects may include seminars,
programs, or displays on hydrology, water treatment processes,
distribution, non-point source pollution, erosion and sediment
control, water quality monitoring, or any related topic.
Eligible watershed protection projects may include
stream restoration projects, non-point source pollution management
projects or other activities aimed at improving water quality within
Fairfax Water’s watershed.
Individual property owners may apply for a grant to
support stabilization projects aimed at restoring the shoreline
along the Occoquan Reservoir.
Applications for the 2010 grant cycle are currently
being accepted and must be post-marked
no later than June 15. Additional
